 This  " policy overview: purpose " This policy establishes and communicates to all employees the safety and health philosophy and principles utilized by the Company to define the role and responsibilities of each employee regarding safety and health.

NHPL Statement of Policy

The Company considers safety a top priority in everyday activities. The policy of the Company is to provide and maintain safe and healthful working conditions for all employees. The Company will follow operating practices that will safeguard all employees and result in safe working conditions and efficient operation.

Safe work practices must be maintained and take precedence over shortcuts and expedient actions. An attitude of safety consciousness should be maintained throughout the organization.

NHPL Philosophy

§       This  " policy overview:  philosophy "It is possible to meet all Company objectives without injury or damage to health or property.

§         Accidents resulting in personal injury or damage to health or property represent needless human and economic waste and must be prevented by every reasonable means available.

§         No conflict exists between safety, quality, and productivity. Sound safety practice at all times will enhance quality and production.

§         All elements of the work environment—equipment, tools, procedures, and training—must be designed and managed to eliminate or reduce exposure to injury and health hazards.

§         A good safety record is an element of good personal performance. Employees at all levels have the safety and well-being of themselves and their fellow workers as a primary responsibility.

§         A good safety record is evidence of good management. Managers and Supervisors at all levels have the primary management accountability for the safety and safety performance of all employees who report to them.

§         Willing cooperation and participation in the accident prevention effort, including compliance with all safety regulations and procedures, is a duty of each employee.

§         The Company intends to comply with all statutory regulations governing the workplace, and full operation and participation in this effort is a duty of each employee.

§         The prevention of accidents while off the job is equally important. Each employee should apply the principles of safety learned on the job to prevent accidents in the home, on the highway, and in other activities.
